I’m an experienced Web Developer with 15+ years industry experience. Over the course of my career, I have strived to bring a blend of style and function to a wide range of websites and digital mediums. I’ve helped global companies, organisations and start-ups reach their business goals with user focused, style infused, efficient and attentive web development & design products.

What I do.
WEB DEVELOPER.
When taking something from the design stage into development, I aim to be as accurate as possible in every aspect. To mimic a design & its typography exactly, add any animation effects that compliment the project to keep a user engaged, thoroughly cross browser test the project and ensure it performs well on multiple devices. For me, a key part of a project is always usability. To ensure the user can easily navigate a site and find the information they are looking for.
Before beginning these processes, meeting with clients and establishing their requirements and ideas for a project is something I have experience with. As a project progresses, I believe regular meetings and establishing a good line of communication is always essential in a projects eventual success.
WEB DESIGNER.
I also have experience in designing websites from desktop view all the way to mobile view, and with the ability to take these designs into the development stage, I am able to link the 2 disciplines and create a well refined end product. Where required, I also enjoy the creative process of creating brand concepts and developing these into a finished product.
WEB ADMININISTRATOR.
Setting up hosting, daily use of 'WHM', 'cPanel' & 'PHPMyAdmin', arranging add-on products, managing domain names & their respective mailboxes are all things I have vast experience with, and as a web developer, it brings me great comfort in knowing that I can resolve any hosting issues that directly affect any websites or digital products that I have developed.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER.
In more recent years, I have gained a lot of knowledge in the social media sphere, being able to create a wide range of media for social media channels, write copy for these posts, monitor engagement, use paid promotion tools and interpret campaign results to hand back to the client and strategise our next move.
PHOTOGRAPHER & FILMER.
I am a keen photographer and videographer by nature, and I have enjoyed bringing these skills into a professional capacity where required. Capturing & editing photos for website photography or social media content, in the water and on dry land, and filming & editing video content for the same purposes have been enjoyable tasks for me, and a chance to add more skills to my professional life.
Technical Skills.
Whilst my primary skill set enables me to design/develop websites & other digital products, I am also well versed in setting up and managing website domains and a range of hosting products. Photography & filming/editing are also skills I have developed over time and used in a professional capacity.

Web Design
Whether it was starting from scratch, or improving on an existing website, my ability to create design concepts has evolved to the point where I can confidently provide website solutions in their entirety, offering both the visual and functional aspects of a build.
Project Management & liaising with clients
I have monitored the execution of a number of client projects from start to finish, as well as managing other team members during these processes. Many years of experience have honed my ability to accurately define a client's exact requirements to ensure that the parameters of the project are understood and executed effectively.
Heading up domain & hosting/add-on management
Using different hosting providers, I can confidently manage domains, hosting packages, add-on products and administer updates/changes to all of these when required.
Copywriting
Whether it be for marketing materials or website content, I am able to compile well written and creative content that engages potential users.
Content Creation
Taking client materials and creating impactful content is a process I have been accustomed to, whilst keeping in mind their brand guidelines & identity.
Filming & Editing Video / Photography
With a passion for video & photo in my personal life, I embraced the opportunity to exercise these skills for both internal company purposes and client work. I confidently directed, shot & edited projects using different equipment & software.
Social media management
As my role evolved, I undertook the management of several social media accounts for several clients. Using scheduling tools, I can compile & plan content over a period of time, making sure to create a regular flow of awareness for a client's users, as well as monitoring content performance & engagement.
Interpretating analytical data within different social media channels
I am also able to interpret data from numerous social media channels and generate in depth and useful reports for clients, and create links between this data and any website data that relates to it.

I was a Web Developer and Website Administrator for a popular E-Commerce store that hosted a large range of products, that were shipped internationally and in high quantity. My primary role centered around the general administration of the website, which included:
Performing changes to functionality of the online store
Creating visual marketing materials to promote the store and its products
Overseeing the orders that the online store received and investigating suspected fraudulent cases
Approving orders and organising the shipment of those orders with the fulfillment staff

After learning about web technologies from a local business owner & part-time lecturer at my college, I was offered my first web development role. After completing my studies at distinction level, I was excited to learn the various languages and skills required to build websites and other digital products. Starting as a Junior Web Developer, my role progressed to encompass the different requirements of the business, which included :
Building websites from the ground up, and utilising the companies in-house CMS to manage website content
Creating graphical elements for website builds & for promotional materials
Developing animations for use on websites, and within 'Flash' based games
Building & maintaining hardware in use by the company
Setting up & managing hosting accounts for websites
The company setup additional offices in Jersey (Channel Islands) and London (UK), and I spent time in both offices expanding my experience further. A great first role which entailed a wide variety of work.
